Tenerife is the pride of the Canary Islands

Do you dream of the sea breeze and the sun? If 100 years ago the island was visited only by wealthy aristocrats who preferred to stay here for a longer period, because of the favorable climate, now Tenerife has become a popular tourist destination. It is a fairly affordable and welcoming island with many accommodation options and opportunities to have a great time. Travelers usually book a hotel in Spain online, study reviews and get great rates. For example, in Tenerife, you can book the Bahia del Duque hotel for nearly 300 euros per day.

The island has an ideal place for scuba diving
, the water is warm all year round, and the water show in Loro Parque - a zoo, a botanical garden and a circus in one place, which is located near the city of Puerto de la Cruz, will make you come back to these places again ... The rich flora has become a haven for the largest collection of colorful parrots, and the cherry on the cake is an underwater tunnel built in the middle of the aquarium where various fish and sharks swim.

On the south side of the island,
you can go surfing, windsurfing, parasailing or jet skiing. Las Americas and Los Cristianos are designed for conservatives who prefer to sunbathe on the beach or swim in the hotel pools. If you accept the invitation of the locals to ride their boats in the open sea, you can see the grandiose killer whales. If the wallet allows, then you can take golf lessons.

Parents can delight their kids by hiking in water parks
, where, in addition to pools and slides, you can watch performances in which the main characters are dolphins. You should also not refuse a walk in the cable car cabin on Mount El Teide, which is located in the very heart of the island (this is of course if you do not suffer from heart diseases, since the height of the mountain is more than 3,700 m.).

At the top, a spectacle that is difficult to convey in words opens:
multi-colored volcanic rocks, steep cliffs on the north side and a smooth line of the valley on the south side create indescribable landscapes. Also worth a visit is Casa Iriarte, a three-hundred-year-old building with typical Canarian architecture, with a souvenir shop on the ground floor and a maritime museum on the second. The house of Iriarte, a kind of visiting card of the city of Puerto de la Cruz, belonged to the Iriarte family, whose sons became famous for their literary and political activities.

And a little about food ...
Fish dishes are in great demand and what is important - you can choose the fish you like right from the aquarium, which will be cooked later. Serve as a side dish a delicious potato dish - “papas arrugadas” or “shriveled potatoes” combined with traditional Canarian sauces mojo verde or mojo rojo. Traditional Spanish dishes paella and tortilla can be found in every restaurant. Fast food lovers can buy hamburgers, pizza and fries at world famous fast food chains that can even be found on the beach.

Drinks can be bought at reasonable prices.
The local beer, Dorada, can be found on the menus of all terraces, restaurants and clubs. Women can indulge in banana liqueur. Los Cristianos has a vibrant nightlife. The beach bars are a great place to unwind after an exciting day.
